About The Programme

JINS, Bhubaneswar offers a 2-year full-time ANM Nursing programme. This programme provides rigorous training in nursing care, focusing on maternal and child health, community health nursing, and primary healthcare. The emphasis is on practical training to equip students with the necessary skills to serve in rural and urban healthcare settings.

Programme Objectives

  • To provide basic healthcare services, especially to women and children.
  • To understand the fundamentals of community health nursing.
  • To effectively communicate healthcare concepts in various settings.
  • To demonstrate professionalism and ethical conduct in all nursing activities.
  • To develop a culture of care and empathy in all healthcare environments.
  • Administer basic nursing care to patients and provide support during childbirth.
  • Apply best practices to promote and maintain community health.
  • Utilize healthcare data to make informed decisions for patient care.
  • Build skills in patient management, infection control, and health education.

Minimum Eligibility

  • The candidate should have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 40% (as per Odisha Government guidelines) marks or equivalent CGPA. Candidates appearing in final examinations can also apply.
  • Preference may be given to candidates with a science background.

Selection Criteria

  • Students would be admitted to the programme on the basis of merit (Percentage of marks secured in 10th and 12th Board Examination).
  • Candidates may also be called for a personal interview if required by the institution.
